The young women check quality of the products at checkpoints. Driver's assistant Dr. Stasiūnas, who recently completed the Railway school, one of the best in Vilnius railway depot, drives a locomotive. He is the Working People's Deputy of Vilnius City Council; after working in a depot he answers letters of voters, reads a book. Young workers attend gymnasium in the evenings. They are taught by teacher Ignas Karpavicius. Vilnius University‘s student Aleksas Taraška works the political education work in the sewing factory "Freedom". Komsomol sport competition. Young women and men run cross-country race. Masters of sport - boxer A.Šocikas, basketball players Z. Sabulis, S. Butautas J. Lagunavičius are met in the railway station after returning from the festival in Budapest. Competition of diving from the springboard, swimming, sailboat race. Peasant youth of the Mazeikiai district is preparing for song festival - rehearse the dances, the chorus sings. Mazeikiai district‘s residents march to the Peace rally.
